The series consists of 3 illustrations inspired by the poem (Yaatri) by Laxmi Prashad Devkota. Each piece tries to extract the visual information of a stanza. The poem has a feel which sets a tone of a period of time that had all eternal guidance to life. It has the answers to discovering our intangibles and viewing ourselves as a temporary vehicle of god in a form of a temple thus any other form is just another perception.
I see myself as a visual translator of the medium. Every word of the poem is crafted beautifully allowing us to almost see it, like through a keyhole. The transition of metaphors creates infinite spaces that allow anyone to create a version of their own. The essence that is 'journey of our body and mind' relates to everyone and every bit of us. I felt the poem enough to draw it. It is an attempt of an ode to a piece by one of the greatest literary figures of Nepal.
